All of our doors are powder coated to the highest standards. Choose from laminated timber, aluminium or aluminium and timber clad.

Because we’re going to spray your bifold doors, you can choose any colour you wish. Each door is given three coats of 250 microns per coat – comparable with 15 coats of brushed applied paint!

Your doors will last 10 years before they need any attention and our powder coatings have a life expectantly of 25 years and are maintenance free.

It’s important to choose the correct glass for your door as this has an effect on how the heat comes through to your home during the day leaves your home at night. It also makes a difference on the level of sound insulation.

As standard, our doors come with double glazed units. They have an air gap between the panels to help reduce heat loss and lower energy bills. It also reduced condensation with a cold panel on the outside and a warm panel on the inside.

Toughened glass is used on doors as it’s around 4 times stronger than normal glass and if damaged, shatters into very small fragments, reducing any risk of injury.

Low-e coated glass allows light into the home but reduces the amount of heat entering the home in the summer and reflects the heat indoors back inside which lowers heating bills.

Laminated glass is used to increase overall integrity and help secure the property. It can withstand repeated impacts and makes it much more difficult to gain entry thought the broken glass.

Our Aluminium bifold doors are designed to be thermally broken, this means there is a air gap between the outside and inside of the door which reduces heat loss. We also supply our doors with double glazed, Low-E glass to maximise efficiency.

We’re proud to be able to offer an A rated bifold door in our laminated timber door.  this is because timber is one of the most thermally efficient materials used in the glazing industry, Aluminium is not so efficient and if you find another company claiming their aluminium door is A-rated you may want to check how this has been measured. Many companies will give you a U-Value based on the center pane value or the U-Value of the glass. This value will always be lower than the actual value of the window or door.
