  • If you ensure consistency of temperature, keeping your extension warm in winter and cool in summer, again that will create a seamless extension. Conservatories can otherwise sometimes feel too hot or too cold, and there may be a stark contrast when you enter it from the main structure.

Finally, you may want to think about a solid rather than a glass roof for your conservatory, so that the extension doesn’t just feel tacked on to your house. Team it up with glass walls and bifold doors, and you’ll create a stunning room. Solid roofs also provide excellent insulation, and help with temperature regulation.
